| Abstract/Contents: | Explains the damage of weather patterns throughout 2012, in particular, snow mold damage. Profiles each type of snow mold pathogen, including pink, gray and speckled snow mold. Suggests that the timing of fungicide application is very important. Presents a study on snow mold control, noting that 90 different treatments. Lists the fungicides that are affective against pink snow mold. Notes that "ultimately, once the snow melts and the ground thaws, fungicides applied in the fall are no longer effective, and re-applications may be warranted to protect against new pink snow molds." |
