| Abstract/Contents: | After a severe attack by sandfly larvae the turf contained an average of 1010 larvae/m2. As immediate control measures, E 605 was sprayed at 0.1% in 450 1/ha, and the granules were applied by fertilizer spreader at 3 rates (10 g N/m2, 6 g N/m2 and 4 + 4 g N/m2 with a 7-day interval). After 2 weeks, E 605-treated turf contained 500/m2 live larvae and turf which had received the N treatments contained 140, 100 and 45 larvae/m2, respectively. |
