Abstract/Contents: | Aquapore's patented porous pipe delivers water directly to the plant roots. Field trials have shown water savings of up to 70% compared to other forms of irrigation. The pipe combines polyethylene with rubber to make a product capable of insuring a uniform distribution of water. It will not crack, decay or freeze, and has no mechanical parts to fail. The so-salled Soakerhorse can be operated at low water pressure (min 5 psi) and once installed, either at root level or simply laid on the surface, works at the turn of a tap. |
