Abstract/Contents: | The benefits of irrigation, foliar growth stimulants, fungicides, and foliar feeds can be maximized by using wetting agents. Mascot Hydro-Wet, from Rigby-Taylor is packaged in 9.5 liter containers and gives an area coverage of approximately 3800 sq m. The Mascot Pro-Ap Professional Applicator can spray an area of approximately 100 sq m in less than a minute. The adjustable mixing dial has 10 settings, including water-only. The lightweight durable nylon construction coupled with the pistol grip reduces operator fatigue. Supaturf supplies a range of water management products including Aqua-Gro wetting agent. STRI trials have verified the performance of an Aqua-Gro program for managing persistent dry patch. Aqua-Gro is available in a powder for applying through a spreader, as a liquid for applying through a sprayer, and in concentrated pellets for applying during hosepipe irrigation. Agriland's multipurpose wetter is bio-degradable, low foam, and non-ionic. Turfex, from Service Chemicals, is a concentrated wetting agent. Even at double strength, no phytotoxicity problems have been reported. It can be applied by sprayer. |
