Notes that Justin VanLanduit, the superintendent had a lot of help from other golf course superintendents as he was planning this renovation. States that the renovation plan would include solutions to drainage system issues and helping the weak turf. Overviews the procedures during the renovation, including scalping, fumigation, deep tining, topdressing, Methyl Bromide application, seeding, irrigation cycles, and coverage during the winter season. States that this golf green renovation was to be completed on Memorial Day (May 25, 2011). Describes the bunker renovation project as well, mentioning that they needed to create a better edge around the bunkers. |
