| Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a study that aimed to compare green performance data such as speed and firmness against the subjective opinions of golfers, as well as differences between morning and evening conditions. States that there was no significant change in firmness, green speed, or smoothness between the morning and evening on any of the recorded days. Concludes that golfer handicap has no bearing on the ability to judge the playing quality of a green, and that player opinion is an unreliable method of assessing playing quality. |
