| Abstract/Contents: | States that the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) and Harper Adams University College are studying the causes and control of fairy ring disease. Explains there are 4 different types of fairy ring disease, and that these variations often occur together. Notes that 62% of survey golf courses say that the disease has affected them negatively. States that the STRI will continue research by analyzing fungal DNA from samples taken from golf courses across the U.K. and to determine which species is causing each problem. |
