Abstract/Contents:"Thirty-year-old Scott Mendenhall hails form Grand Blanc, Mich. He attended Michigan State University's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources where in 1982 he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Park and Recreation Resources Administration. When Mendenhall graduated from high school he worked a summer at the Elks Country Club. Based on a scholarship awarded by MSU, Mendenhall, upon graduation worked in the Professional Research Internship Program for the University. Mendenhall was hired at the L Fortune Park Golf Course in Oklahoma and worked as a golf course crew member. Due to his education and experience Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa hired Mendenhall as the assistant superintendent. In 1988 Mendenhall was hired by Landmark Land to fill the Golf course superintendent's position for the Jack Nicklaus Resort Course and in 1989 also took charge of the Stadium course in La Quinta, Calif. Mendenhall is a diversified superintendent with wide ranging responsibilities. Mendenhall is the newest board member of the Hi-Lo Desert GCSA."
