Abstract/Contents:Profiles Charlie Wilson, who was the first traveling agronomist for the United States Golf Association (USGA) Green Section. States that Wilson enrolled at the University of Maryland's Agriculture program after returning from service in the Navy during World War II, then began work as a full time agronomist after his graduation. Notes that after a year of employment in Maryland, Wilson moved to California, and a few years later moved to Wisconsin to work for Milorganite. States that Wilson was a pioneer for the Green Section and that "in a sense, all of the Green Section agronomists since him are his descendents."
