Abstract/Contents: | "The 1987 National Tall Fescue Test was established in May 1988 at Ithaca. We have been evaluating 65 tall fescue cultivars maintained at two mowing heights; 1.25 and 2.5 inches. Over the past two years, the tall fescues maintained at the shorter height have become heavily infested with annual bluegrass. Although some cultivars have performed much better than others at the shorter height, it appears that as a whole, tall fescues are not going to do well at these shorter mosing heights, at least in upstate New York. The results of the 1990 results are found below. The 1989 results are avaliable upon request." |
