Abstract/Contents:"Several new N sources have been released onto the commercial and consumer fertilizer market in recent years. Several more are in the development stage. Aside from looking at turfgrass performance in response to N sources in comparative studies, it is becoming equally important to look at the impact these fertilizers may have on ground water. The objective, therefore, of this study was to evaluate serveral N sources for fertilization of creeping bentgrass turf, and to monitor the fate of the fertilizer N. This study was initiated on June 21, 1990 at the Cornell Turfgrass Field Research Laboratory, Ithaca, NY. The turf was a 10-year old stand of creeping bentgrass grown on an Arkport sandy loam soil. The turf was maintained as a green, maintained at a height of 5/32 inches."
