Abstract/Contents: | "Brown Patch, caused by Rhizoctonia solani, is one of the more damaging and difficult to control diseases affecting highly managed turfgrasses. Chemical controls are not always effective and may lead to ecological, environmental and biological problems of disease management. Since this causal agent has been controlled successfully on other plant species by using biological forms of control, we wanted to determine the feasibility of controlling Brown Patch on creeping bentgrass turf by introducing a disease-suppressive microflora." |
