Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate "the overall adaptation and performance of these zoysiagrass cultivars in the warm, humid climate at College Station, Texas." Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turfs were mowed twice weekly with a triplex reel mower at a 1-inch cutting height" and that "the cultivars were evaluated for turfgrass quality during the spring transition in 1989" and "at regular intervals during 1990." Reports that "the seasonal quality means showed that all cultivars produced acceptable turf in 1990." Concludes that "Emerald, FC-13521, Meyer, and El Toro have produced an acceptable lawn turf with differences in turf quality among the four cultivars being small." |
