Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to "evaluate the fall color, any green color retention, and ability of the grasses to maintain a monoculture stand." Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "a total of 26 different zoysiagrasses were planted" using "a randomized complete block with four replications" and that gradient irrigation was applied "to create a moisture stress gradient and to determine the volume of irrigation required to maintain ground cover, prevent drought stress, maintain acceptable turf quality, and maintain at least 50% green turf ground cover." Reports that "seasonal turf performance differed over time, across the irrigation gradient and across varieties." Concludes that "DALZ8512 still maintained highest green plot cover under all irrigations."
