Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to examine "the establishment rate, overall turfgrass quality, fall color retention, and spring greenup rate of the cultivars and selections during these first three years in the field." Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "twenty one vegetatively propagated and seven seeded entries were included in the study" and that "the plots were 5 x 8 feet arranged in a randomized complete block design of three replications." Reports on each of the cultivars turfgrass quality assessments, fall low temperature color retention, and spring greenup rate. Concludes that "FB-119, RS-1, Texturf 10, E-29, and Vamont exhibited the most rapid establishment rates."
