Abstract/Contents: | States the potential importance of irrigation and its timing. Discusses the process of syringing turfgrass. Explains how syringing can cool turf that is undergoing heat stress by keeping the sun's energy from reaching the plant directly. States that syringing should be handled by someone who has experience with the process, since over-watering the turf in a drought situation can make the situation worse. Notes that deciding whether to syringe or to irrigate should be done carefully. |
