| Abstract/Contents: | Evaluates the pros and cons of using thick cut sod versus regular cut sod. States that "thick cut sod roots down much slower than regular thickness sod." Explains that sports have become a "time is money" type of game, so the sooner the turf can be installed, the better, though the time it takes to root is dependent upon sod thickness. Advises turf managers to be aware of the fields needs when deciding on sod thickness. |
