Abstract/Contents: | "Your problems are much like ours. One thing seems to be very important: people who are working on the line of breeding grasses try to get as good a green as possible and people who try to bring out the seed try to have as much seed as possible. That seems to be two quite different things. In Sweden we are trying now to breed pure seed and then make some tricks so that the plant will bring seed just as the moment you want it. To some extent, it is going quite well. It is not the scientific man who has showed us the way; it is from the practical farmers." |
