| Abstract/Contents: | "Pre-postemergence crabgrass herbicide combinations were evaluated for their efficacy on smooth crabgrass (Digitaria ischaemum) at the Landscape Management Research Center, University Park, PA. Control ratings of 85% or higher were considered to be commercially acceptable. Treatments were applied on July 18, 1990, with a hand-held CO2 powered boom delivering 40 gal/a. Repeat applications for some treatmetns were applied 30 days later on August 1 and treatments were rated at August 24. Combinations of BAS 514 and benefin provided excellent control (>90%) and combinations of DCPA with DSMA and/or ASC 66707 provided acceptable control. All other treatments provided unacceptable control." |
