| Abstract/Contents: | "Field studies were conducted during 2006 and 2008 at 3 Golf Courses in Guangdong and Hainan province, China, to determine the Kyllinga brevifolia Rottb. control in Seashore Paspalum with ethoxysulfuron. Seashore Paspalum (cv. Salum) tolerance and Kyllinga brevifolia control with ethoxysulfuron was also evaluated. Kyllinga brevifolia control with ethoxysulfuron at 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.3 and 0.6 kg ai ha-1 was 73%,81%,92%,99% and 98% 5 WAT in 2006, 77%,83%,93%,98% and 100% 5 WAT in 2007 at Hill view golf course, Guangdong was 72%,85%,89% 93% and 96% 5 WAT in 2006, 75%,81%,89%,100% and 100% 5 WAT in 2007 at Kangle golf club, Hainan respectively. Kyllinga brevifolia control with ethoxysulfuron at 0.1, 0.15, 0.2,0.4 and 0.8 kg ai ha-1 was 85%,93%,99%,100% and 100% 6 WAT in 2007, 86%,95%,100%,100%and 100% 6 WAT in 2008 at Red valley golf course, Hainan. No injuring to Seashore Paspalum (cv.Salum) occurred with ethoxysulfuron at less than 0.3 kg ai ha-1 from 1-4 WAT and slight injuring to turf was appeared 2 WAT and disappeared 3 WAT with ethoxysulfuron at 0.6 kg ai ha-1. Visible tiny injuring to turf at 2 WAT, recovered at 4 WAT." |
