| Abstract/Contents: | "The sucking behavior and host preference of Rhopalosiphum maidis and Hysteroneura setariae to some spices of Gramineae. R. maidis and H. setariae were more regenerated and colonization on Japanese lawngrass Zoysia japonica, tifton Cynodon dactylon and crabgrass Digitaria adscendens compared with ryegrass Lolium perenne, bentgrass Agrostis stolonifera and Japanese pampas grass Miscanthus sinensis. The sucking behavior such as total sucking time per hour, were observed to all Gramnineae spices and were not significantly different. The SEM observation indicated different distance from surface to sieve tube at each plant. This result affected sucking behavior. However, regeneration of aphids was affected nutrient of each plant. The infection of Endophyte resulted no or little affection to sucking behavior and regeneration of two aphids." |
