Abstract/Contents: | "Primsulfuron is a herbicide under evaluation for use in control of purple nutsedge. The purposed name was Beacon. A field test was established to determine if this herbicide affects the germination of overseeded ryegrass which was sown at three rates 60 days after treatment with Primsulfuron at the 0.1 Kg/ai/hectare rate. There was no effect due to herbicide application, seed rate, or the interation of the two for seedling stand density or verdure production of well established turf. Based on these observations, it appears safe to overseed bermudagrass which recieved a prior application of Primsulfuron 60 days previously at the 0.1 Kg/ai/hectare rate." |
