Abstract/Contents:"St. Augustine grass seedlings mechanically inoculated with maize dwarf mosaic virus and sugarcane mosaic virus resulted in 80% and 76% infection, respectively. Although maize dwarf mosaic has not yet been found or is not prevalent in many southern States, the susceptibility of St. Augustine grass to the causal virus indicates that it could be of potential importance in the epidemiology of the disease in the South."
