| Abstract/Contents: | "Rhizoctonia solani was grown on potato-dextrose agar, macerated in a Waring Blendor (blades covered with plastic tubing), and diluted with water to different concentrations. Seeds of St. Augustine grass were inoculated in Petri dishes. A concentration of 1:10 resulted in low seedling survival but good development of fungus growth. Seeds were inoculated with a 1:10 suspension and placed in different environments. Temperatures of 20° (16 hr) and 30° (8 hr) produced the best combination of seedling development and fungus growth." |
