| Abstract/Contents: | "Rhizoctonia solani causes a crown and leaf rot, and Helminthosporium tetramera a root and crown rot, of Zoysia japonica. Curvularia geniculata, C. inequalis., C. lunata, and C. pallescens retarded growth of Z. japonica for 6 weeks after plants were placed in infested soils containing 5% organic matter; after 16 weeks only C. pallescens significantly (LSD .05) inhibited growth. Fusarium roseum, F. oxysporum, F. nivale, and F. solani inhibited root growth but not shoot growth for 16 weeks after plants were placed in infested soils." |
