| Abstract/Contents: | "Forty-five percent thiram + 10% 2-chloro-4-(hydroxymercuri)phenol (T-OM) was the most effective turf fungicide tested for control of Fusarium blight of turfgrass. The least amount of disease occurred where T-OM was applied as a protective spray at the rate of 4 or 6 ounces per 1000 sq. ft at weekly, biweekly or monthly intervals. N-((1,1,2,2,-tetrachloroethyl)sulfenyl)- cis-4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboximide and 2,4-dichloro-6-(o-chloroanilino)-s-triazine at 8 ounces per 1000 sq. ft gave some control; zinc + maneb at 8 ounces, cyano(methylmercuri)guanidine (Pan.) at 3 ounces and tetrachloroisophthalonitrile (DAC 2787) at 6 ounces per 1000 sq. ft had no effect on the disease severity. Pan. and DAC 2787 showed evidence of phytotoxicity at the concentrations used." |
