| Abstract/Contents: | "Two ryegrass varieties of a perennial turf-type "Cutter" and a annual pasture-type "Rust" were used to overseeding into bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) turf in Guangzhou Jockey Club, Guangzhou, China. The results showed that, compared to unoverseeded turf, winter overseeding with ryegrasses over established bermudagrass turf had longer green-period and better quality. Performance of the turf overseeded with turf-type ryegrass was better than that of those with pasture-type ryegrass. Meanwhile, reasonable seeding volume and fertilization were able to affect the turf quality in winter as well as restoration and development in summer." |
