| Abstract/Contents: | "During March 15 to May 1, 1997, a test has been completed to study the effects of several facts on the smoothness of green surface, by using stimpmeter to measure the speed of golf ball on the surface of turf. The test was done on the putting green of Xi'an Yajian Golf Course, The data of speed was obtained from four directions and under four cutting heights. The results showed that the speed under the cutting height of 6~7 mm was the best, which was close to the international standard and met the playing reguirement [requirement]." |
