Abstract/Contents: | "In order to exploit and utilize elite subtropical turfgrasses in the west edge of the mountainous area of Sichuan basin, China, four native grasses of bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon), thompsongrass (Paspalum districhum), Korean lovegrass (Eragrostis ferruginea) and annual bluegrass (Poa annua) were cultivated. The biological features of transplanting survival rate, growth speed, underground biomass, and turf features of leaf color, green period, coverage and establishment speed were observed and evaluated. The feasibility of establishing the water and soil preservation turf, the athletic turf and the recreation turf were analyzed synthetically based on the biological characteristics and turf quality. Growth and multiplication characteristics and turf management technology were summarized." |
