Abstract/Contents: | "In the experiment, the seeds were sown in October, 1992. The biological character and growth rate of Sahara bermudagrass, common bermudagrass, Japanese lawngrass, Colombia bluegrass, white clover, and tall fescue were observed. The result showed that warm-season turfgrass could adapt to the climate of Hainan, from March to October, the grasses thrived. Though, in January, the grasses had a little injure under low temperature, the warm-season turfgrass could keep evergreen. The cool-season turfgrass thrived from November to next year April. But from May to October the growth rate decreased and stopped. The cool-season turfgrasses could not survive the hot summer and died." |
