Abstract/Contents: | "A trial on the major factors involved in production of Agrostis turf through vegetative reproduction was conducted to determine the relative importance and the optimal combination of these factors. It was shown that the separating cloth used in production process was the most important factor (P<0.01); the reproductive material was relatively less important (P<0.05); while the separating layer composed of coal slag and fine sand appeared to have no significant effect on the result of production. It was suggested that the optimal method to be used in large-scale turf production would be using the creeping stem of the plant as reproductive material, non-woven cloth of chemical fibers as separating cloth, and still adopting coal slag and fine sand as the material for separating layer." |
