Abstract/Contents:"Effects of perforation and fertilization on the turf quality of Kentucky bluegrass were studied in Science Garden Field of China Agricultural University in 1999. Total 8 treatments were applied to Kentucky bluegrass turf by 2 perforations and 4 fertilizations. The nitrogen level of all treatment was 10 g N/m2. The results were as follows: perforation improved the colour and uniformity, but its effect on growth rate, tiller density, underground biomass and the number of productive tiller was not significant. In four fertilizations, liquid fertilizer enhanced the turf uniformity, urea and special truf fertilizer improved the colour, effects of these fertilizations on growth rate, tiller density, underground biomass and the number of productive tiller were not significant. Comparing with unperforation + urea treatment, perforation + microelement fertilizer + urea treatment obviously decreased the growth rate; perforation + urea treatment and perforation + special turf fertilizer treatment improved the colour; perforation + liquid fertilizer + urea treatment and peforation + microelement + fertilizer + urea treatment promoted the turf uniformity; perforation + liquid fertilizer + urea treatment increased the number of productive tiller. In all treatment, perforation + microelement fertilizer + urea treatment was the best for the turf of Kentucky bluegrass."
