| Abstract/Contents: | "Quality evaluation of eight introduced turfgrass varieties were conducted in Xining. Their adaptability and turf performance (TP) including density, cover, texture, growth speed, color, wear tolerance and winter hardness (Wh) were measured. The results indicated that the adaptability of 5 varieties were better than another three (Wh≥3), all the varieties performed well in terms of turf usage (TTP1 or TPP2≥3). Balin (Wh = 5, TPP1=3.6, TPP2=3.7), Hunstvilla [Hunstville] (Wh=5, TTP1=3.4, TTP2=3.6), Bargena (Wh=4, TTP1=4.1, TPP2=3.5), Barlexas (Wh=4, TPP1=4.0, TPP2=3.1) and Bargreen (Wh=3, TPP1=4.1, TPP2=3.5) not only adapted well to the environment but also gave good performance, and can be extended in Xining." |
