Abstract/Contents: | "Comparison tests of new imported tall fescue varieties and new Chinese bred varieties were carried out from 1999 to 2001 in the Karst hilly area. Characteristics of the varieties were observed in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The vague index was used to carry out comparison analysis, and according to comprehensive appraisal the varieties were arranged in order of value. The results showed comprehensive appraisal of tall fescue '98-1' was the highest, followed by Houndog 5, shortsar 2, and Barlexas (control) varieties. It is considered that using vague index to analyse and appraise tall fescue varieties is feasible." |
