Abstract/Contents:"Adaptability evaluation of 22 varieties of turf-type Poa pratensis were carried out in Shandong, China in 1998~2000. The characteristics of seedling vigor, genetic color, leaf texture, disease resistance, green period and comprehensive quality were evaluated. The results showed that, compared to others, Ascot and Midnight were best in seedling vigor. Midnight, C9nthia [Cynthia] and Odyssey had darkest color. Ascot, Alene, America, Cynthia, Bartitia, VB5649, Nuglade and Impact were finest leaf. Award, Nuglade and Ascot were good highest disease resistance. Baronie had the longest green period. For the comprehensive quality, 3 Poa varieties of Award, Impact and Midnight were the best choice to establish turf in Shangdong and contiguous region."
