| Abstract/Contents: | "Indices including turf establishment period, texture, density, colour, drought tolerance, winter survival, disease resistance, green period and coverage of 70 varieties of turfgrass from 9 genera were measured for 3 years, using a five-level quality evaluation system to select suitable varieties for the Xining region. Suitable varieties found included five varieties of Poa, Eclipse, Raml, Glade, Wabash and P. compressa; six varieties of Festuca, Pixie, Arid3, Houndog5, TripleA3, Watersaver, and F. rubra; and 2 varieties of Lolium, namely, Dandy and Calypso." |
