| Abstract/Contents: | "Seven turfgrass and six forage varieties were introduced to the Linfen region, Shanxi province, and evaluated during 1998-1999. Turfgrass Poa pratensis varieties were found suitable for the region, particularly P. pratensis cv BarVB5649. Forage varieties Medicago sativa cv Baralfa54, Sanditi, and Sitel were found suitable for extensive planting due to their good cold and drought resistance. Although Lolium multiflorum grew fast and was high yielding, it was not cold or drought resistant." |
