Abstract/Contents:"The changes in the lesion of leaf, chlorophll [chlorophyll] content and antioxidant systems in three different tested turfgrass cultivars under pH2.0, pH3.0, pH4.0, pH5.6 simulated acid-rain, were investigated. The results showed that the chrolophyllous [chlorophyllous] content, antioxidant enzymes, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities tended to decline with the decrease of pH. The reverse was true in the case of membrane permeability (PMP), relative malondialhyde (MDA) content and peroxidase (POD) activities. The visualized lesion was only found under the treatment of pH2.0 simulated acid-rain."
