| Abstract/Contents: | "The species and damages of the main weeds were investigated in lawns in Xining city during July 2002 to June 2003. The results showed that there are 38 species of weeds belonged to 18 families. Species of the dominant weeds are: six species of Compositae, five species of Viciaceae, four species of Cramineae and four species of Cruciferae, of which the heaviest harmfulness is from weeds of Compositae and Viciaceae. The weeds do harm to the lawns from May to November. The most serious period is from May to September. The weeds can be controlled by machine and herbicide. At the same time, with maintenance management, the weeds can be effectively prevented." |
