Abstract/Contents:"Based on quintic-factor orthogonal designed field experiment, the study on seed production of 6 Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) varieties, was conducted in two consecutive years (2003-2004). The results showed, 'Baronie' and 'Park' can be planted for seed production in Jiuquan, the seed yield is 584 kg/hm2, 537 kg/hm2, respectively. The optimal time for appling [applying] fertilizer is half in spring and the other half applied in the last autumn; Apply N 90 kg/hm2 for the two species, apply P2O5 120 kg/hm2 for 'Baronie' and 90 kg/hm2 for 'Park', respectively."
