Abstract/Contents: | "A cool-season turfgrass (Festuca arundinacea cv. Huntdog 5), which has heat-tolerance and high quality, was introduced to study heat-resistance in the pot experiment. The split-split plot design with three factors and three levels was employed to study the effect of different treatments with different phosphorus, potassium, plant growth retardant (PP333) application rates on the stress physiology of tall fescue. The result showed that the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) and ascorbic acid (AsA) were correlated significantly with the changes of permeability of plasma membrane (PMP), negative correlation was focused on the content of AsA, PMP and content of MDA. Based on the index of active oxygen and PMP, the best treatment for heat tolerance is A2B3C2, as is expected to extend the green time of F. arundinacea and overaestivate rationally in the transitional region." |
