Abstract/Contents:"Our research shows that Trifolium repense [repens] has a serious destructive impact on gardening landscapes. After just a short period of use T. repense [repens] can diminish the value of a landscape. The reason for this assertion is that the plant in our experiment was shown to invade landscape of flower shrubbery, crowding out the shrubs. This intuitively makes sense, and passes the so-called 'intuition test'. Before the present time, this issue had been addressed only in theory, not in practice. Many experts have had discussions about the nature of T. repense [repens]. However, many companies erroneously view T. repense [repens] as a viable seed for selling to consumers seeking to plant grass for their landscaping. Moreover, many cities continue to plant over a dozen of T. repense [repens] turf in the construction of city gardening landscapes. If this does not change, the consequences of these actions on the part of both companies and cities will continue to worsen over time."
