Abstract/Contents:"The current status of drought resistance mechanisms and drought resistance identification is summarized. The mechanism of turfgrass drought resistance involved drought avoidance and drought tolerance. Recurrent aridity method, plasm membrane penetration, turf quality, water content in leaves, praline accumulation, activity and content of antioxidtive [antioxidative] enzymes under the drought stress were important assessing drought resistance in turfgrass. Some important directions for further study is pointed out."
