| Abstract/Contents: | "Seed deterioration process of Xinnong No. 1 Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon) stored at room temperature was studied. The results showed that with the prolonging of storage, seed germination index, germination potential, vigor index, germination percentage, electric conductivity and soluble sugar increased to the maximum before decrease. Correlation analysis indicated that seed germination index, germination percentage and vigor index were significantly correlative and could be used to indicate seed aging. The electric conductivity had no significant correlative and could be used to indicate seed aging. Taking all the indexes into consideration, the seed storage time of Xinnong No. 1 should not exceed 4 years and 2-3 years of storage was the best." |
