| Abstract/Contents: | "The new selection of Elemochloa [Eremochloa] ophiuroides (E-126) was used to study the effect of nitrogen fertilizer (urea at 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g/L) on the chilling resistance and green period of E. ophiuroides. The result showed that under low temperature, relative electrical conductivity and chlorophyll decomposition of E. ophiuroides were reduced, whereas content of soluble sugar and proline were obviously increased compared with eh check, which meant that nitrogen fertilizer could improve chilling resistance and green period of E. ophiuroides. 10 g/L treatment gave the best performance and could prolong the green period by 11-12 days." |
