| Abstract/Contents: | "Regular spraying method was used to test the field control effectiveness of 7 fungicides on creeping bentgrass before and after brown patch disease spreading. The results showed that chlorothalonil and Curzate M8 had the best preventive effect on brown patch disease, with the preventive effectiveness of 99.3% and 98.5%, respectively; followed by myclobutanil, Tuzet, Ridomil, Sandofan M8. Pripiconazole [propiconazole] was the worst (73.0%). However, during the prevailing period of brown patch disease, pripiconazole [propiconazole] showed the best control effect, with 86% of effectiveness in all three tests and the highest was 95.9% in the test of August 21. Chlorothalonil also showed good control effectiveness (more than 80% in three tests). The effectiveness of these two fungicides were significantly higher than others and they should be used for preventive purpose; pripiconazole [propiconazole] and chlorothalonil should be used for control purposes." |
