Abstract/Contents:"Coupling effects of nitrogen and phosphate on nitrate leaching loss from simulated golf green were studied in Beijing with optimum regression design. The results show that nitrate leaching is mainly affected by nitrogen application rates, and the effect of nitrogen application rate is more significant than that of phosphate application rates. While the nitrogen was applied at 33 g/(m2·a) or even higher levels, the increased phosphate application rate could reduce the nitrate concentration in leachate. If the monthly nitrogen application rate on golf green is under 5.2 g/m2 in Beijing, the nitrate concentration in lachate will not exceed 30 mg/L, so it will not contaminate water on golf course."
