| Abstract/Contents: | "A prelminary study was conducted on heat resistance and its measurements of ryegrass (L. spp.). It was indicated in results that lethal temperature of leaf tissue tested with conductivity method sensitively distinguished heat resistance among the ryegrass varieties and there was a significantly negative correlation with r=-0.7996 between the lethal temperature of ryegrass varieties and their high temperature injury percentage in the fields. The heat resistance of perennial ryegrass (L. perenne L.) was generally higher than that of Italian ryegrass (L. multiflorum Lam.). During the oversummering process, the temperature decreasing even blow [below] 25 C for three or four days would make ryegrass dehardened. the dehardened ryegrass was difficult to rehardening especially following a high temperature tide once again, and severely injuried. Hence it was the dehardening occured [occurred] in plants because of a short cool weather in hot seasons that could be the Primary potential to high temperature injury. The death rate of perennial ryegrass was stated to be lower on the fertilizing level of low nitrogen (75 Kg·N/ha) or moderate Phosphorus (23.8 Kg·P/ha) than that of high nitrogen (225Kg·N/ha) or high phosphorus (47.6Kg·p/ha)" |
