Abstract/Contents:"Using the observed data for introduced 10 cultivars of perennial ryegrass on Beidaying demostration [demonstration] farm in 1998, the accumulated yields, monthly average yields and pasture growth of perennial ryegrass under 3 levels (high, middle and low fertilization) were analyzed, and the principal factors affecting forage yields were studied in this paper. Results indicated that there was good production performance for Bison Intermdiate [Intermediate] (No.9) and Embassy (No.8) in 10 cultivars. The yield of perennial ryegrass was mainly influenced by climate, soil fertility and cultivars. Especially, recordings of plate, rainfall, evaporation, hours of sunshine and days of forage growth were the key factors, which may accurately simulate, estimate the yield dynamics of perennial ryegrass."
