Abstract/Contents:"F. arundinacea is a major cool season forage and turf grass in the temperate regions of the world. Recently, molecular marker technique has been applied widely in studies of F. arundinacea such as construction of genetic linkage map, comparative genome mapping, analysis of phylogenetic relationships, determination of genetic diversity, genomic fingerprinting, characterization of intergenetic Lolium-Festuca hybrids, and differentiation of monosomic lines. This paper reviewed the application progress of molecular marker in F. arundinacea and discussed its prospective utilization in future study."
